Hello, my name is Phelisa Mfazwe and I’m the director of Child Free by Choice. I enjoy being the director because I get to create something out of nothing and take the audience on a journey. I love the process of making a documentary and making it visually stunning.
People should support this documentary because it’s important to understand the decisions that females take to be sterilised and this project further educates the average person on what female sterilisation is.
I look forward to seeing the journey Megenta (presenter) goes on as she gains more information about female sterilisation and also the opinions from our diverse participants.

I'm Sam and I’m the producer for our third year final documentary. I've always loved producing and making content, my hearts always been in the production aspect of it and helping creative minds with their ideas. Producing ‘Child Free By Choice’ is going to be quite exciting as it is a topic I’ve always wanted to know about, so to be able to produce a documentary about it in my final year is amazing. My role in this production is to over see the project and put things in place for it to happen. From scheduling shoots, to helping drive the narrative, I help the team with their ideas as well as making it happen. Our aim is to educate and inspire creatively with this documentary. This is a documentary for everybody; to show people what goes through people's minds from not only the female aspect but also the male aspect. Why is it such a taboo subject and why are women looked down upon when thinking about making these decisions?

My name is Megenta Balcombe; I am the presenter and editor of the documentary 'Child Free by Choice'. The documentary will be about my journey deciding whether it is the right choice to be sterilised or not. Various opinions surrounding sterilisation will be included in the documentary, because of this I believe that it can be watched and enjoyed by all.

I am Jaye, the Digital Producer for the documentary. My role is to promote the film online and reach a wider audience. Honestly, I wasn't prepared for how I would enjoy the role as initially I was very reluctant to take it on but so far it's been great and already we've been able to build up a good bit of support on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Female sterilisation isn't something I know a huge amount about so it's been really interesting to read up on it and hear people's opinions while I research for future blog posts and as the rest of the crew organise the production.

My name is Hajar and I am a camera operator. The thing I am looking forward to most in this documentary is finding out other people's views on female sterilisation and why they had reached that view. In addition, I think our presenters personal journey with the topic would be very interesting and finding out what conclusion she comes to after talking to people with opposing views and women who had been sterilised.
